The story behind the image
It had been a fantastic wedding so far. Yet the shot with the wedding rings was still missing. And I had no real idea how I could add a new, unique angle to this shot. Then I saw the glasses of champagne standing on a table outside the restaurant. The sun illuminated the glasses from the side and it would be setting soon; the background was dark but not black. I thought, “that’s it!” And so I explained the idea to the couple. They happily agreed to the shot and gave their rings. The aperture of f/2.8 added some bokeh and further separated the glass from the background. When the couple saw the final results, they loved the shot. Nice.
