The story behind the image
Here is another image from the past. Again, let’s go back into the year 1959. The place is Den Haag in The Netherlands.
Apparently, the photographer did an extensive walk through the city and not only captured a young man with five dogs but also went to the Ridderzaal. Sadly, the building was almost completely scaffolded, but he apparently like the complex array of tubes that he took an image anyway. And so he also shot the green Fiat 1400 B that had been parked next to other cars right in front of the building.
Today, the building looks all nice and tidy again, but the cars are gone!
Is this art? Maybe. But it certainly is a document of life in Den Haag in 1959.
And I love it.
