The story behind the image
25 years ago – in August and September 2000 – we did an extensive roadtrip through Italy. There found countless beautiful spots, but the Italian Adriatic Coast had the best beaches! Vieste impressed us significantly, not just for its beach but also for its architecture and history. The small town is located in the Gargano National Park, so nature lovers and athletes will find many opportunities to enjoy their time in Vieste.
What’s more, Vieste’s castle – the Castello Svevo Aragonese – offers perfect views on the Mediterranean Sea and the beach, including a iconic white monolith at the beach.
We think that Vieste is well worth a visit when you are in the area.
