The story behind the image
Despite me being rather tall (6’5″), we had booked a small four door sedan car for our USA trip. We thought that it wouldn’t be too bad and wanted to save some money in order to stay a bit longer and make this long trip truly unforgettable.
However, when we picked up the car at the Avis rental station in San Francisco, the service agent looked us, shook her head and said something like: “Oh, you’re soo tall. I’m afraid the car you’ve booked won’t work too well for you.” And then she provided us a free upgrade to the next category.
So, we got a white Pontiac Grand Am sedan car, and we were extemely happy with it. It mastered all roads without any problems.
This photo shows our white beauty next to a road in Arizona. Sadly, I can’t remember where exactly but the light of the setting sun and the almost moon-like rocks in the background created a wonderful photo opportunity.
