The story behind the image
In 2001, during a long weekend in London, UK, we explored the city and did some Christmas shopping.
Our destinating for that afternoon was the Apple Market right next to the Covent Garden underground station. Outside the station we encountered this performance artist who wore the uniform of the royal guards. Quite intimidating upon first glance. Closer inspection, however, revealed that he had made up his face with bright red cheeks, a funny mustache, and a large red nose. 🙂
I remember him to be quite funny which seems to be confirmed by the happy faces of the people surrounding him.
