The story behind the image
It had been a gift for the father-in-law – a ride in a hot air ballon somewhere close to the Bavarian Alps. Corona prevented a ride in 2020, but for 2021 we could fix a schedule with Blue Planet Ballooning in Berganger, Bavaria.
And so, on a pretty autumn morning, the family drove to Berganger – and four of the family members went on a hot air balloon trip. I couldn’t, because I’m afraid of heights, so it would not be the best ideas to ride a hot air balloon. But I captured a number of nice shots from the ground and of the surroundings.
I like this shot for its simplicity – just trees and a green field – and strong, saturated colors.
