The story behind the image
We were on a sailing trip that brought us to Sønderburg, a vibrant town in Southern Denmark. My photo shows the historical working harbour seen from the water. The building of the Fiskeriartikler og Søsport store has been torn down between July 2019 and October 2021. There’s just a blank spot today.
Nonetheless, Sønderburg had been a very pleasant stay for us. The weather had been calm and warm, and we were exploring the town center with its rich history and small streets. There is even a castle that is still being used by the Danish royal family. And if you want to take a bath, there is a small beach.
All this was just within walking distance from the yacht harbour, the Sønderborg Lystbådehavn.
Nice.
