The story behind the image
When on the island of Mallorca in Spain, please consider visiting the South-East and especially Cala Figuera with its small, protected harbour. When approaching the village from the seaside, you will find the Hotel Villa Sirena sitting on top of the cliffs, offering stunning views across the bay and the Mediterranean Sea. On the opposite side is the Far de la Torre d’en Beu, a historic watchtower that offers nice views as well.
I captured this photo in the late afternoon, and the sun was already quite low. I like the warm, saturated colors and the nice contrast between the illuminated areas and the areas that had been dipped into shadows already.
