The story behind the image
We stayed for a night in Fort William in Scotland after a couple of perfect days at the West Coast. While we were walking along the High Street, suddenly familiar sounds could be heard – as the Lochaber Schools Pipeband marched towards Cameron Square (the main square, right in front of the Tourist Information Center).
They gave a free concert, entertaining both locals and tourists. According to their website, the band usually performs free concerts on Tuesday and Thursday evenings during the summer months.
By the way, later that night, dark clouds showed up over the town, and rain set in. We were extremely happy to have been in Fort William on a Tuesday evening. So, a big Thank You! goes to the Lochaber Schools Pipeband for the effort.
