The story behind the image
The island of Sardinia is best known for its beautiful beaches and relaxed lifestyle. The countryside, however, is beautiful, too, and well worth a visit.
This photo shows the Chiesa San Sebastiano which is located on a small island within the Lago Is Barroccus near Isili. It was created by the Diga is Barrocus dam at the south western end of the lake. Sardegna Tourismo – the official tourism authority of Sardinia – has a nice page featuring the lake and the church (in English.)
