The story behind the image
In her youth, my mother used to be a horse riding fan. She started horse riding at the age of 7, and continued until the early 1960s, to the age of 21.
This photo by an unknown photographer shows her with a horse on a paddock near Weissenhaus in Northern Germany, about 50 km east of her hometown Kiel.
I like the contrast of the riding uniform and the horse. The grey tones are well balanced, too.
