The story behind the image
Tuscany keeps on being a very popular destination for tourists from all over the world, and it’s easy to see why: Where else do you get so much culture, history, and unspoilt landscapes, on such a confined space? Heck, Tuscany even has beaches (at the Italian west coast)!
When we explored Italy in 2000, we spent a couple of days in Tuscany, taking our time to drive along the country roads rather than the highways. Here, off the beaten tracks, you can discover the genuine beauty and tranquility of the region.
My photo shows one of the countless vineyards that we passed. I still like the colors and composition. The wine in the foreground, an ally with old trees, and the gentle Tuscan hills in the back. It hardly can’t get any better than that.
