The story behind the image
It was the first day of our trip to Nambia in 2006. We had picked up a perfectly clean car, a Volkswagen Polo Classic sedan, at the airport in Windhoek, and had managed to drive it safely to our hotel for the night, the Hotel Pension Christoph near the city center.
After a healthy sleep and wonderful breakfast we were refreshed to begin our journey across Nambia. Little did we know that this trip would take the car (and us!) to some limits. But we would also discover places of ultimate beauty and peace. You can see some of the photos here.
I like this photo because the car looks so shiny, almost like a virgin. This is how it looked two weeks later. 🙂
