The story behind the image
The central station of Hamburg in Germany is busy, very busy. Around the clock, trains arrive and depart from all parts of Europe. The platforms are covered by the historical hall which was built in 1905.
The station is known to be a bottleneck, though, as it connects train lines from northern Germany (and northern Europe) to central Europe. So, it’s not a surprise that up to 550,000 passengers (including passengers on regional and suburban trains) use it every day. Its location close to the city center makes it also the perfect place to arrive in the city and exploring it right away.
Personally, I like watching the trains come and go and enjoy the general buzz and noise.
