The story behind the image
Dumfries impressed us massively, probably because it was our first night when we where visiting Scotland in 2005. The weather was picture-perfect and definitely like it should be in summer.
Before continuing our three-week trip through Scotland, we took another walk along the river Nith. This view along the river, the public park and the Devorgilla Bridge was beautiful, especially since the Dumfries Sheriff Court dominates the skyline with its towers.
Dumfries – a beautiful town packed with history.
