The story behind the image
In 2004 we went on a sailing trip with Petra’s father. Back then, he owned a yacht and enjoed his retirement by crusing the Baltic Sea from early May to September. We joined him for a week in summer and came on board in Laboe near Kiel, Germany.
While Laboe has been a tourist spot for a long time, the village has been able to preserve its charms with its long clean beach, historical harbour and small buildings. Yet it has everything you’d expect from a summer destination, and the city of Kiel is nearby.
After checking in with the father-in-law, we went to the harbour to get some tasty and fresh sea food. Yummy!
