The story behind the image
One wealthy client asked me to shoot the brand new BMW Z4 he had purchased for his wife as a gift. He said he wanted a photo to remember the car. He specifically did not want his wife or himself to appear in the picture. “Just the car,” he told me, “just the car.” I did not ask a lot of questions, but accepted this request as the quirky characteristic of a very special personality.
And so, on a sunny day in October, the car dealer and I took the new car prior to delivery to two attractive locations in Munich: first to the Nymphenburg Channel, then to the Ludwigstraße near the university.
At the Professor Huber Platz we found an awesome location. The autumn sun illuminated the scene, the first golden leafs were already on the ground, and the car looked as good as possible.
The result: Yet another cool photo, and a happy client who fell in love with the images. Nice.
