A fun picture illustrating the term ‘comparing apples with oranges’, found in a market hall in Bologna, Italy. In 1999, the Euro had not been introduced, so prices are still shown in Lire. Surprisingly, a price comparison leads nowhere: both apples and oranges cost 2,800 Lire (about 1.40 Euro) per kilogram. Funny.
