The story behind the image
Here is an interesting shot for those of you who might have wondered how it looks inside of a beer tent at the original Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany.
Well, here you go: Shot on a sunny afternoon at the Augustiner Festhalle, you can see that it is pretty civilized. At least if the band – like in this picture – has paused. People sit at long benches and have a beer (or two) and some food (presumably roasted chicken.) The sunbeams illuminate the interior beautifully, and everyone is having a good time.
For 2023, the Oktoberfest will open its gates again on 16th September for 18 days – until 3rd October. Oh what a joy!
