The story behind the image
We had learned our lesson: When you’re driving along the highways of Namibia, just use every petrol station that you will encounter. Otherwise you might encounter problems. What’s more, it’s also nice to have a chat with folks and relax for a moment.
So, when we approached the Solitaire rest area and petrol station, we had planned already for a stop. But who would have thought that it’s also a great place to take photos? This image has a lot of African mood to it: two 4x4s, one even painted in Zebra design, bright sunshine, a clear sky, and very few people in that remote place. Copyspace top left and bottom right makes it even better and more useful.
