The story behind the image
Following a night of heavy snowfall, I drove to Munich’s Olympic Park to get a couple of rare shots showing the park in clean, fresh snow. Not only was the sight attractive, but the experience was positive as well, because all the typical sounds of the busy city were quite muffled, and I could enjoy an unusual silence and peace up at the Olympic Hill.
The building in the back is known as the O2 Tower by the way, as it is home to the German headquarter of mobile network operator O2. A while after this photo was shot, the company logo had been mounted to the building, and it’s still present at the time of writing. This makes my shot even more unique.
