The story behind the image
One of the major attractions during Kiel Week are the many tall ships that visit the city. Typically, they sail down to the city center and open their ship for visitors, often also offering trips to watch the races on the Baltic Sea near Kiel.
We had booked a trip on the tall ship Mir and could see the majestic Kruzenshtern passing us on our way towards the open Baltic Sea.
More information on the Kruzenshtern can be found at schiffsspotter.de.
