The story behind the photo
Here’s a shot from almost 30 years ago. We were for two weeks on the island of Kos, Greece, and I shot several beautiful images of the Kos town center and the island, including this shot of the beach at Marmari.
After sunset, the Blue Hour was had already set in, and I used a tripod and a slightly longer exposure time to capture the motion of the waves that gently rolled onto the beach. The exposure time was short enough to not blur the boat, though. (I guess 1/20 sec or so.)
While most certainly not a stellar shot, I still like it because of its mood. The tiny waves, the last remains of the sunlight, the boat. That’s nice.
