The story behind the image
Emerald Lake is one of the truly mesmerizing places in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Situated within the Yoho National Park in British Columbia, its main feature is its emerald green water (yes!) while surrounded by mountains.
I like this image not just because of its dominating blue and green colors and the reflections of the mountains, but for the two canoers who stick out in their red and orange vests. They seem to be alone on the lake, but truth is – there were many paddlers and canoers on the lake on that day. I just waited until just their canoe was in the frame. Nice. 🙂
