The story behind the image
We also visited Elgol, a tiny, peaceful community situated in South Skye. The road B8083 ends on a peninsula at the small harbour and beach in the town center of Elgol. From the car park further up you can enjoy excellent views across Loch Scavaig and the Ocean.
I was quite happy that the late afternoon sun had been peeking out, creating a full frontal light that shimmered on the surface of the sea, with the island of Rum in the back. A single sailing yacht completed the image, underlining the size of the sea against the seemingly tiny object of a yacht.
Lovely.
