The story behind the image
In 1988 we had the pleasure of spending two nights at the beach on a wild camping location. The beach was Praia da Cordoama, situated about 10 kilometers north of the Cabo de Sao Vicente. It was an extremely beautiful spot and we were not alone by any means! Several other campers had reassured us that wild camping wouldn’t be a big issue. What could possibly happen? The police would come and ask the wild campers to leave the place. We shrugged and stayed for two nights before moving on to a real camping lot with all the amenities you’d expect.
On the first evening we had a terrific sunset, and I captured it. Ah, what a nice memory!
