The story behind the image
Lake Garda in Northern Italy is the ideal destination for relaxed holidays, especially when you’re just a short (well, four hour) drive away from the lake. You’ll get Italian lifestyle, good food, and a beautiful views that just wait to be photographed.
The tiny historic harbour in Lazise at the east coast of the lake is one of those super-sweet photo opportunities. This image is from our 2001 trip to Italy, and when I found that image in the archive I realized that I already had posted an image of Lazise back in July! That image is from 2013 and shot from almost the same location and angle. There are just minimal changes between the shots (apart from the photo technique I’ve used used.) So it did not change very much in more than a decade, and looking at more recent images, it seems that it still looks more or less the same. I like this steadiness.
It is still extremely beautiful, and I need to return soon. Lovely.
