The story behind the image
For our 2011 trip to Southern Africa we had booked the Chobe Safari Lodge, an exclusive accomodation located next to the Chobe National Park in Botswana. Our last leg was performed in a Cessna 206 Super Skywagon, a sturdy and reliable plane that brought us to Kasane International Airport where we would be picked up by hotel staff.
As the plane was moving quickly and shaking a bit, I set the exposure time to 1/2500 sec at ISO 800. While there is some grain visible in the high-resolution image, it is pretty sharp considering that I shot it through the windows of the plane. Anyway, it’s a beautiful inflight shot and brings back nice memories that make me want to go there right now.
