The story behind the image
Here’s an awesome photo from our 2006 trip to Namibia: Petra walks along the ridge of the giant Dune 45 at the Sossusvlei National Park.
It’s easy to see why this photo excites me so much: Just two colors dominate the image – blue and beige, inviting for placement of copy (if needed). The hiker walks exactly in the sweet spot of the image. And the ridge has formed a gentle wave. And I have not cropped off a singl epixel of the image! How cool is that?!
Then again, it was not cool that morning but rather beginning to be very hot. If you are considering to walk up one of the giant dunes at Sossusvlei, please get there early in the morning and avoid the hot noon and afternoon!
