The story behind the image
To conclude the mini series about the Solitüde beach, here’s a current photo of the beach looking towards North East. A rather cold wind was blowing, pushing the clouds quickly across the Baltic Sea. You can clearly recognize the antenna of the Meierwik barracks in the distance. It appears to be taller today compared to 1967. The wide beach got transformed by the weather into a small patch of grass covered sand.
Again, I really like the dominating blue and green colors as well as the view towards the open sea on the left. That’s the ‘True North’ for me.
