The story behind the image
On my trip to Mexico City the company had booked a room at the very nice Sheraton Maria Isabel. I had not just brought my first digital camera (a tiny Kodak DC 4800 Zoom Digital) but also my trusted Canon AE-1 Program with plenty of slide film.
The hotel was located right next to the monument El Ángel de la Independencia. Using the 70-210 mm FD tele zoom, it was easy to capture a beautiful shot of the statue at the top, with the blue sky as a backdrop. Nice.
