The story behind the image
Here’s a beautiful image from the very nice Ricoh CX1. The weather in Lazise had been just so-so, and dark clouds were hanging over the Alps on the western side of Lake Garda. But the sun was coming through every now and then, at times casting awesome beams of light against the dark clouds in the sky. However, the sun was shining over the lake and the eastern part – where the beautiful village of Lazise is located.
The mood was fantastic, and a moderate zoom setting (equivalent to about 100 mm on a full frame sensor) was perfect to put the focus on this couple who enjoyed the panorama. I love it.
