The story behind the image
Today’s maritime image is from a sailing trip acorss the Baltic Sea in 2004. On this leg of the trip we headed into the city center of Kiel and back to Schilksee harbor.
The sun created an awesome sparkling on the water, and the wind was blowing just enough to move us forward – without being unpleasant. I used the tiny Sony DSC-P72 point-and-shoot camera for this photo, and I am amazed at the quality. If only the image size would be bigger. But that’s what you got in 2004 in terms of P&S digital cameras. Anyway, I think the image is nice.
