The story behind the image

The tunes of the bagpiper at Blair Castle followed us on our way to Edinburgh. We were faster than the rain, probably because the rain knew that we had another challenge to be mastered: finding a nice B&B!

Mind you, this was in 2005, and smartphones with ubiquitous Internet connection and intuitive mobile Web services were simply not affordable. And so we turned to the central Tourist Information Center (TIC). We had to wait for ages to get to a rep. His computer system was ultimately slooooowwwwww, and he was not really inclined to find something nice for us, he wanted to find something for us. Finally we opted for a nice guest house in the south-west. It had a bus stop right in front of the house, and it was just a 10-minute ride into town center. Yet, we felt the TIC rep could have found something better within walking distance to the town center.
