The story behind the image
The Twyvelfontein Country Lodge in Namibia is situated near the town of Khorixas. More interesting, though, is the fact that is has been built next to giant red rocks in a way to blend with its surroundings. When we stayed there for a night, I spotted this perfect addition to my collection of lonely trees on top of one of these rocks. One might think it is dead, but inspecting the image at 100% reveals many green leaves all over the tree.
I think this is great – and yet another proof that life always finds a way.
