The story behind the image
Like everyone else, I love smartphones. Not because of the many (often useless) Apps I can install on (and later remove from) my phone, but because of its camera. On my blog, the oldest photos date back to about 1890, and back then it was an expensive effort to capture photos. Today, it’s almost effortless, and the quality is so much better! Again, my blog provides evidence galore about the development.
This photo shot with my Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo phone is beautiful because it shows traditional fishing nets and buoys in the grass of the dunes right next to the sun chairs under a blue sky with puffy white clouds. The sign says “Pedal Boat Rental”. The afternoon sun was already beginning to throw longer shadows, so the red flags of the buoys show nice contrasts.
Lovely.
