The story behind the image
About 25 Miles outside of Glasgow in Scotland lies the city of Gourock. It’s an excellent location to capture photos across the fjord that leads into Glasgow. As the port of Glasgow sits between Gourock and Glasgow, a lot of large ships pass at every time of the day.
Even better: there’s a fantastic viewpoint called Lyle Hill, where I took this photo. The ferry to Dunoon is just leaving Gourock. On clear days, you can even see as far as Glasgow from Lyle. I especially like the many shades of blue in this picture that contrast well with the clear colors of the buildings in the city. Nice.
