The story behind the image
The day before our flight home from Vancouver, Canada, had been all sunny. It was as if British Columbia wanted to be remembered as the perfect destination, after three weeks of adventures in Canada’s west. (It worked.)
We were driving slowly towards Vancouver and stopped in West Vancouver at the Whytecliff Lookout Point. The small beach was covered with logs, and there was even a small island right in front of the beach.
Love everything about this photo: The clear and calm sea. The tiny waves rolling up to the beach. The logs. The dream of being there, sometime in the future.
