The story behind the image
Our three week trip to British Columbia and Alberta was coming to an end. We approached Vancouver again from the North West and stopped by in West Vancouver to visit the Point Atkinson Lighthouse Park. The weather was beautiful and I captured this awesome photo (in my view) of the lighthouse.
I deliberately put the lighthouse into the center of the image as it is clearly the attraction. I really like the way the tower and the horizon separate the image into four sectors. The saturated colors (thanks to Fuji slide film and a polarized filter) add to the impression.
Gosh, it seems like yesterday. Did I take the photo really 20 years ago?
