The story behind the image
We drove from Sabaudia in Italy towards Naples and ultimately Sorrento, always trying to follow the coastline as closely as possible. This part of the Italian west coast is awesome with beautiful views waiting for you after each curve in the highway.
This photo shows the Bay of Gaeta, Provincia di Latina, from the Belvedere viewpoint. In the back, you can see the contours of the Sanctuary of Montagna Spaccata. Isn’t it absolutely stunning? The clear turquoise water, the gently splashing waves, the clear blue sky – so clear that you can see the Rocca Montis Dragonis in the far distance! I just adore this shot and would love to be there right now.
