Moraine Lake in the morning (III)

AUGUST 2002 – The valley of Ten Peaks reflects in the calm water of Moraine Lake on a beautiful summer morning in the Banff National Park in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. © by Mark Zanzig/zanzig.com

The story behind the image

I already posted two shots of beautiful Moraine Lake here and here).

Here is a third one, this time from further up, and with a couple of trees in the front. The higher viewpoint makes the water appear turquise, somehow unreal. If you look closely you will notice the first canoe on the lake. So again, it’s really good to get there in the morning because over the course of the day there is a lot of traffic on the lake. While this shows that its a good location for outdoor activities, I prefer my shots to show the undisturbed beauty.
