The story behind the image
Rudolf Bauer is a professional percussionist and drummer. For more than two decades he had been a member of Power Percussion, a group of likeminded musicians who play concerts around the world.
In 2007 he hired me to shoot promotional photos during a Power Percussion concert in Munich. I exclusively used the available stage light for the photos. This resulted in many exciting and powerful shots like this one.
