The story behind the image
When exploring the magnificient Lago Maggiore in the Alps, you will almost certainly visit the city of Ascona. It is situated on the Swiss side of the lake and combines the best of both worlds: you get Swiss reliability and Italian lifestyle. Even better: Ascona has a (small) public beach that provides access to the lake.
I love this photo as it captures the beauty of the lake, the unspoilt nature and the unique feeling of summer. It’s the perfect place to be.
