The story behind the image
The harbour of Tobermory on the Isle of Mull provides many nice views, also in the morning. When we left Tobermory, the sky was gray from the upcoming rain, but the mirror-like sea added to the very special mood of this morning photo of boats that have been anchored outside the main harbour of the town.
This image was captured originally on color slide film, but the contrasts were already high and the colors were quite desatured, making it almost a black and white photo. So, I decided to convert it to b&w to remove the last traces of color and add some drama. I like the result.
