The story behind the image
Tobermory at its best – colourful houses gathered around a tiny harbour and illuminated by the sunlight of the late afternoon. A peaceful scenery, far away from the hectic of the big cities (even Glasgow is quite far away from here). In short, visiting Tobermory is a must and a definite highlight of your trip!
It had been raining earlier that day (and you can see some of the clouds still in the back). Of course, we were excited to see the sun coming out as we approached Tobermory. So we explored the waterfront right away and could capture a number of nice photos. I especially like the stark contrast, bright colors and subtle shadows. And the reflections in the water. Nice.
