The story behind the image
When you are visiting Cape Town, please do yourself a favor and visit the Cape of Good Hope as well. While you certainly will not be alone, the drive to and from the Cape will be stunning. Turn after turn you will discover new exciting sights.
When you approach the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve from the west, via the M4, you will pass Smitswinkel Bay with its magnificient beach. The water is actually as blue-green as on the photo (which has seen little to no editing at all). During the season, you may even spot whales from this viewpoint high above the village. Unmissable.
