The story behind the image

As mentioned yesterday, the family archive documented a hike up to the Hoher Kranzberg near Mittenwald, Germany. Apparently they walked from the mountain station of the lift slightly up the mountain, passing the nearby restaurant St. Anton, to capture this photo. The restaurant overlooks the Mittenwald Valley and provides many beautiful views. It seems that the house has been massively extended since 1952 (to the left). It is still operated as a restaurant today.
