The story behind the image
I really cannot remember the Christmas of 1969 because I had just turned four years a couple of months before. However, I do remember that this shows our new appartment – the place where I would grow up over the next 15 years. It was the first genuine appartment where I had my own room.
I love this image so much because it’s one of the rare photos that shows me together with my parents, and they still look so young and proud and full of positive energy.
The print seems to be a reproduction of a smaller photo, so the quality is just so-so, but heck, I don’t care. It’s the positive mood that counts!
And with this, I wish you a Merry Christmas.
