The story behind the image
On our long trip from Halifax, Nova Scotia, to Montreal, Québec, we spent one night in the beautiful village of Tadoussac. Our motel was next to the main street, and there was a nice viewpoint on the other side of the street. I decided to do a panorama photo so I did five consecutive shots with the exact same settings (focal length, focus, exposure time, and aperture). These would be easy to stitch together and blend the images without visible overlaps.
The result: a massive 52 megapixel image that captures the beauty of Tadoussac Bay. Lovely.
