The story behind the image
We drove from Como along the western shore of Lago di Como and enjoyed the sunny day. Several smaller villages invited for photo stops. And then we came to Tremezzo. It’s almost like a tourist village from the 1950s. Tiny cafes and restaurants along the lake promenade, small shops with regional specialities, and the huge Grand Hotel Tremezzo, an attractively renovated Victorian building that sits high above the street.
Their guests have exclusive access to this swimming pool that floats within the Lago di Como. Just wow. In this shot I especially like the bright blue of the pool and the warm brown of the well maintained speedboat, sitting in the spectacular mountains surrounding the lake.
